Learn to make basic whole wheat muffins
Ingredients

Cooking spray, optional

1/2 cup unsalted butter, or margarine

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 large egg
-
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup milk
-
2 cups Dr. RBL's whole wheat flour
Method
- Gather the ingredients
- Pre-heat oven to 400 F. Line the muffin tin using paper baking cups or use cooking spray to coat the bottom of the muffin tin.
- In a separate small bowl, using a fork, beat together the egg and vanilla.
- Add to creamed mixture. Beat until light and fluffy.
- Add the milk and then gradually add the whole wheat flour and lightly stir the ingredients together just until combined. Don't overmix your muffin batter!
- Fill muffin tins 2/3 full.
- Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until browned and done.
